.7z extension

A past work colleague saved some important files to a .7z compressed file, and you guessed it, it was password protected!..Iv tried 7zcracker which from many searches seems to be the only one, but that only uses numbers and the password it gave me wasn't correct. The other program is "Atomic zip password recovery" which states it will recover the first 5 characters of a .7z extension, but when reading the FAQ's it doesn't support that extension at all.

so my question is, does anyone know how I can or know of a program that can recover a .7z extention.

(im running windows 7)
