I am looking to update my laptop. It has windows 64 bit set up. Will my 32 bit programmes work with this new coputer?

Yes.

Yes, as VoG™ says. In Winows Explorer, 64 bit programmes will be shown in C:/Programme Files. 32 bit programmes will be in C;/Programme Files (x86).

It depends... Older programs may have trouble, or refuse to install as they may use a 16 bit installer, but generally, if the programs you use are recent then you shouldn't have any trouble running them.
