64 bit

I am looking to buy a laptop with Windows7 installed. Can you tell me if all my programs will work with 64bit. I have a lot of elderly progs (like myself :). Also a few new , like office 2007, serif x4 blah blah

I haven't had a problem installing any 32-bit programs in 64-bit Windows 7. Instead of installing in...

C:\Program Files\

...they install in...

C:\Program Files (x86)\

Where you can run into issues is with hardware, such as printers, where you will need to download the 64-bit drivers.

I have not had to download any drivers.

Windows simply did its own thing.

On my pc, where I installed a retail copy, I had to update the mobo and on board audio, but all installed applications updated automatically.
