Can anyone tell is there a 56k dialup ISP provider out there that has unmetered access for a flat fee (under 20 quid) and that has no cutoff or one that extends beyond 2 hours.
Im with ntlworld using there smart dialer and have no problems with the service just the 2 hour thing.
i have even rang them up to see if they would review it but unfortunatly they wont.

When I used AOL I never had a problem, either connecting or staying on. Only left because I got broadband.

AOL do £15.99 a month and no cut off whatsoever.

You might get a window after about 30mins idle saying you have been idle for 30mins do you want to stay connected or disconnect? If you click stay connected you are still on.

I was on that system but now I am on broadband I don't have that problem anymore.

still on AOl 56k and don't get cut off. sometimes forget to disconnect and it's still on in the morning. Idle/disconnect warning only comes up occasionally. In all they are very polite about it.

You could get NTL's 150K service for £18 a month, if thats any help. Always on, and pretty quick too!

fast4.net is certainly a lively site. Does it connect easily first time of asking?

looking at fast4.net FAQ, number 3 explains you will be disconnected every 2 hours,or after 15mins of inactivity.
