I have a netgear sky router and bought a wireless usb adaptor spec is: 11g usb adaptor, IEEE 802.11g:6,9,12,18,24,36,48,54 Mbps. It connects at 54 Mbps all the time, my question is if i buy a 108Mbps adaptor will it be evn quicker?

Unless you do a lot of large file transfer around your network 54Mbps will outstrip any connection speeds currently available and yes the 108 adapter would make it faster if your router can run at that speed.

As I understand it with SKY, you are restricted to the Netgear router and firmware version that they supply and therefore, if that particular router doesn't support Netgear's proprietary 108Mbps speed enhancing technology, a Netgear 108Mbps Wireless Adapter will make no difference. It will only connect at 54Mbps. Any other brand of 108Mbps adapter wouldn't connect at the higher speed either, as these are all proprietary technologies, there is no laid down 108Mbps protocol for wireless networking.

My sky netgear router is 108Mbps, although my 54Mbps is quite fast, i thought i might buy a 108Mbps and get the full speed out of it.
