Ive just ordered a new 478 mobo with 400/533 fsb, I have a p4 1.7 in my current pc, will this still work in any 478 motherboard?

It depends whether it is specced to run in a 423 or a 478 m/board - you will know this from what you are using it in now.

Im currently using a 478 mobo, so I assume it will work fine. Cheers.

Hi, I note that you have ticked as resolved. Your new motherboard manual will tell you what range of CPUs are supported. Or visit the motherboard web site for the specification. Cheers, Bill
