40g to 120g

hi i have taken an acronis image of a 40g drive i now want to replace it with 120g do i take out my old drive fit my new 120 and use ti boot disk to transfare my image, then what do i do to use the full 120 disc thanks Chippy

hi MAT ALAN i would like to use the old 40 drive as a external backup drive for my daughters pc as i have a spare enclosure using acronis she can back up her work when she wants on an external source thanks Chippy

Install your new HD as a slave and use the clone option to copy your old HD to the new one.
Then install your new HD as the master.
Then you can install and format your old HD as a slave if you wish.
