3 Gb download limit

I am considering using an O2 broadband connection for my existing mobile as need this urgently and cannot wait for BT to install landline.

However they are quoting a download limit of 3Gb; as a 'normal' user checking emails and surfing for a job am I likely to hit this limit?

Not if you are only downloading e-mails however some game demos or videos can be over 1GB

The only times that I have come clost to 3Gb is when Microsoft bring out large updates such as SP3 for XP and SP1 for Vista, or if I have purchased downloaded software such as Roxio Easy Media Creator. These can be 750Mb to 1Gb each and as I have both XP and Vista I need to exercise care so that I don't go over the limit. This isn't hard to do as I can check my download amount via my ISP on a daily basis if necessary.

The usual good advice from this website, thanks very much for very useful information!

Turn off Pictures in your browser settings as this is counted in your 3Gb Turn of all Add's and pop-ups
