I have put the second HD in and it's recognised but wont play any of the games on it. This is a new build PC. What else must I do?

Reinstall the games.

You can't swap the HDD with game installations on it and expect them to be playbale on a new PC.

With your games, see if you can find where game save files are stored. When you reinstall you might be able to pop back the game save files and continue where you left of.

Install your games on the second HDD and all should be well, done here & works fine.

Thanks a lot a bit of wishful thinking.

as powerless says, you will need to re-install the games to allow the relevent details to be entered in the registry, things are needed to make the game run.

very few games will run from a game already installed, but there are some which dont require installing as such.

if you dont have the original games then im afraid you are stuffed, you will need to get hold of them and install again.

ps, if none of the games work then maybe this is a good time to format the second drive and make sure there are no nasties lurking on the drive (if you got the drive from a trusted source then this might not be nescessary). but at least you would get rid of useless stuff and free up the space again.

good luck
