this ip address seems to be causing a lot of grief to people. personally it has not affected me but i knpw several people have had an infection which mentions this ip address. it seems to cause the desktop to go black and deny access to any icons and apparently rerdirect ie to porn sites. that is all i know.

does any body have other information

That's not an IP address, no one digit can be higher than 255.

The address is invalid - its first octet is 297, but it cannot be more than 255.

looks to be it. i haven't actually seen it myself, just going on third party. i am aware of the protocols of ip address, however many people are not, so this should serve as a warning
