I have a 450 Watt Power supply that has a 24pin connector but my motherboard only has 20 pins, is this a problem or is it fine to leave the 4 extra pins out?

Nothing to worry about - just use the 20 pin connector as normal.

I'm presuming the four extra pins are supplied on a separate block to allow just the use of the 20 pin connector if required?

If the 24 pin connector doesn't separate into a 20 and a 4 pin connector, and you don't feel brave enough to use a hacksaw to modify it, then you can buy a converter click here

I think the converter I linked to above may be for a 20 pin PSU to 24 pin motherboard, but this one is for a 24 pin PSU to 20 pin motherboard click here
