I have recently upgrqaded to a 600w PSU so i can get a 8800gt installed with worry of explosions.

Im not new to computers but this IS the first time ive swapped out a PSU....

Everything is installed fine (quite easy infact he says proudly>) but the little red switch on the outside with 115v - 230v confuses me.

I havent got a clue what is used in my area and tbh i wouldnt know how to find out.

Is there a UK standard? I plumped for 230v on the dubious advice of a collegue and nothing exploded which is a good sign but will this be stable?
