1st. I have recently installed XP Pro on my system. POST detects my DVD-ROM drive as does device manager. Windows explorer insists it is a CD-ROM drive and as such will not play a damn thing.

2nd. Java applets will not run in IE6 even though they are enabled in internet options.

I'm completely stumped. Any ideas guys?
Any and all help greatly appreciated.

Cheers.

1. Which DVD software are you using to view your DVDs with?

2. click here and download Sun's Java. Last time I looked, Java was not suppplied with IE6 (another licensing row).

Hey jazzypop,
Thanks for the link mate. Works a treat.

I am not using any DVD software. PC is downstairs along with a DVD player under the TV. I mostly use it for the PCFormat cover DVD's.
