can anyone tell me if it is possible to boot from either hdd without having to go into the bios to change the boot drive.

Easiest way is to Install Windows 98 to one hard drive.

Then install XP to the other, xp will detect 98 and make the changes. You will then have to choose which os you want to boot when you first start the computer.

Or do you already have 98 and xp installed, i take it do.

sorry for being so long replying. i want to have win 98se on one hd. and win xp on the other and be able to boot from either hd. without having to change boot sequence in the bios. is this possible with or without extra software.

powerless is right.do as he says and when you start your machine before it gets to windows it will ask you which OS you wish to load its either option 1 or 2 no need to change boot sequences or enter the bios
