2 laptops - to network or not?

Hey everyone. In my new company there are just two of us. We will soon have a database and are wondering about networking this as we will both initially be working remotely. We will use cloud computing to access basic docs, but the database is ACT, which is a contact managment system and so is big on space. Until we have an office where we can have an old pc for now as a server, how would you suggest we ensure the stuff we enter on an hourly basis updates both laptops? we really don't want to be filling in stuff on one and then emailing at the end of the week to the other to fill in theirs! any thought would be great!

Both machines are connected via the router or switch (where they are plugged in) so you should be able to run a sync program to keep each other update with the latest document versions. Depends on which OS you have as you've given no details.

HI there, thanks so much for this. Both laptops are running vista. we have Act database loaded on both machines and would like to sync info from one to the other and visa versa from the database wirelessly if possible. Any more insight would be great, thank you.
