2 copies of Windows 7 on - how do I get rid of one

I now have two copies of windows 7 on 2 different partitions on by PC the one that boots is Drive C and the partition is only just big enough to contain the os. The other, Drive D, is much larger, but contains the second copy of W7. I would like to delete/uninstall/ this second copy of the OS, then reformat that partition, and extend the C partition - to give it a bit more room. After that Applications and Data will be on D.

Windows is not letting me delete copy 2!

Any suggestions

Dave

use a third party partion tool like easeus partion master home, just delete the 2nd partion then extend the first partion to your required size.

Thanks jamesd1981

I downloaded easeus partion master home as you suggested, and I now have what I wanted.

Many thanks
