1GB or 1.5GB?

Hi - would appreciate some advice on this one.

Firstly, I have 512MB on my PC. Using Crucial I found that it can take 2GB - as I have a spare slot on my board I can either opt for another 512MB or a 1GB upgrade.

This is where I need your help - the cost of a 1GB upgrade is double that of the 512MB - approx.

What difference would 1.5GB make as opposed to 1GB?

Is DABS worth using?

Any info would be appreciated!

the performance increase beyond 512MB is not signifant

I have 1GB and found that most time almost half free.

I have just upgraded from 512 Mg to 1Gb.

There has been no apparent difference on any of the Office Apps that I have, so far had time to use.

However I'm shortly venturing into a little work on photos and simple Video editing. There-by the upgrade.

(such as Far Cry) run noticably better with 1gb rather than 512mb (this is speaking from experience) - as for the difference above 1gb I cannot say.
