16 bit Windows Subsystem

  tommymcg 16:56 05 Feb 05

I have recently had a message display titled 16 bit Windows Subsystem and gives the following text
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

I am unable to run my scanner, is this the cause and how do I rectify the problem.

Any info gratefully received.

It may also be caused by a trojan try running A Squared free click here or update your virus checker then boot into safe mode ( tap away at F8 or F5 whilst the pc boots)and run a check.
