I was told by a colleague after a visit to Staples that someone makes a laptop with a 15 hour battery life! Unfortunately, he could not remember the name. Seems a bit far fetched or am I out of touch. Can anyone throw any light on this?

Perhaps he meant "that's how long they last", the one from work gave up completely after about that length of time (and it's not been replaced)..;o)

"Batteries:
All batteries are not created equally. Generally you get what you pay for. If battery life is important to you, spend the extra money. If it?s really important to you, you can spend quite a lot. For $399 you can get a 15-hour battery pack for many Toshiba and HP notebooks. In the $150 range you can buy re-chargers that re-juice two batteries at once."

Use a couple of car battery's that should last 15 hour. Be cheaper than a laptop battery as well

PS It may be a bit heavy to carry round :)

Perhaps you get a hernia operation thrown into the $399 price.

for another option. But without this I would have thought 4 hours as good as your likely to get from a normal Li ion battery. 15 sounds rather improbable.
