WINDOWS 98SE runs well with 256 RAM just post mobo and make sure that you get right combination of RAM...

Windows 98 can utilise 512mb. Providing the ram modules are compatible with any other installed or are correct for the motherboard, then I do not foresee any problems on the information you have provided.
