So no green tick, just closed. Probably the number of votes in each poll is much more of a reflection of actual numbers than an "electronic clicker" but potential advertisers would be more interested in the "trade secret" numbers.

The number of votes in a poll represents a fraction of the number of people who log in to the forum each day - as do the forum posts. As we have said many times before, we know from the server logs that there's a silent majority who log in and read the threads without actually posting themselves. There's nothing wrong with that - they gain useful information, and it's what we're here for.
