After putting in the game disc,if it comes up on screen just exit it.
Then go into the EAsports folder in your programme files(My computer>local disc c>programme files>EAsports>Fifa 08)
In one of the game folders, probably in 'support'or a 'bin' folder, find the exe that looks like your shortcut icon. Double click it and see if it launches from here.

well's not available in the support folder...and i have no folder called bin...i searched for the word bin and got no results !

It will be in one of the Fifa 08 sub folders somewhere.
May need a bit of searching.

  generous88 02:41 25 Aug 08

really sorry...i searched all the subfolders didnt find any exe icon for the game!

Strange one that.
There is always an exe file or icon in every game folder that you can double click on to launch the game.
It will just be either a launcher or a square picture.
If there is none of these, then perhaps that could be the problem,i.e somethings stopping it from installing properly.
Without an error message to go by...i'm stumped.Sorry.

generous88 02:51 25 Aug 08 u mean the very normal exe. icon of the game...yes of course there's one ..and its in the main folder not a subfolder...and it's the doesnt work

With the disc in,go into my computer again and explore drive D,if that's the one with the disc in.
Find the exe on the disc and try launching from there.

Or click on start icon then programs and fifa 08 and double click that.

Could try this.(getting desperate)
Right-click the shortcut, and then click Properties.
Click the General tab.
Click to select the Read-only check box, and then click OK.
