Need a good gaming laptop - any advice on spec?

Ok, basically I have a mac. I get crappy FPS on games and I want more. I'm working all summer so my budget will be up to £1000 but i'm willing to go to £1200 if ABSOLUTELY necessary. I would prefer if it were around the £800 region though. I want a laptop with:

A good graphics card (Preferably NVIDIA GTX 700+) High amounts of RAM (8GB would be plenty) High clock speed (2.5GHz +) And a good processor (Quad core i7 is preferable but again if it has to be Dual core that's fine) Not a giant hunk of metal (I'd prefer it to be smaller than 15")

This laptop will be for gaming mostly, but I will also use it for every day things, so am not looking for specialist gaming brands such as Alienware. If anyone could let me know what laptops are good it'd be much appreciated. Also, has to be a laptop, don't give me the whole "Just get a desktop" stuff, I'm an 18 year old student who will be moving around a lot. Thanks!
