How's this rig for gaming?

Hey there - i'm considering buying a new desktop used for general purpose, heavy multi-tasking and gaming, so generally an all round machine. The specs are as follows:

Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 955 (3.20GHz/8mb cache/AM3)

Motherboard: ASUS M4A78LT-M: mATX MAINBOARD, DDR3, USB 2.0, SATA 3.0GB/s

RAM: 8GB Samsung DDR3 Dual-DDR3 1333MHz (2x4GB)

Graphics Card: 1GB Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 Ti

The games I intend on playing are things such as GTA IV, Team Fortress 2, Portal 2, Black Ops, Crysis 2 and Minecraft (lol). The settings don't have to be maxed out, but i'd like a smooth framerate on at least mid settings on these games. How would this machine perform when tasked with these games?

Thanks very much for the help :)

Really need to know a little bit more about the PC you are thinking of buying. Can you post a link to the PC? Also what size monitor I you going to be using as this can have a bearing on the graphics cards performance.Review of your card here.GPU

It's that base PC, but i've chosen a better Processor, Graphics card, RAM, case and stuff, so it's quite different. I will be using a 19" 1440x900 monitor.

So a small monitor then. What is your overall budget and what operating system will you be using, I would imagine Windows 7.
