I uninstalled a programme on my Vista Home machine called Steam and didnt release that is was required for playing Football Manager 2009.

Ok, went to install FM 2009 again and from typing in the key it came up with something along the lines of product key code not recognised.

Have been using no problem till I took Steam off. The support number for Sega/Steam is pre-recorded message and just says got to sega support pages.

Looking arround on Sega website support I get navigated towards downloading a files for activation problems. But because the key is actually activated already I do not think this will work

Has anyone got any sugestions please

Is ther some reason why you can't just reinstall steam first and then FM 09?
Maybe a system restore to before you uninstalled steam may work.

Tried clean install of FM09, tried uninstall of all Football Manager 09, system restore will not reverse and put back a complete programm only a system change. Thanks, will try it though

... by delete of FM2009 Folder in Program files after uninstall and reinstall also from removing Registry entry.
