Hi everyone!

I want to buy/upgrade a PC, but this is like "Dark arts" to me. I've been researching benchmarks and prices of of GPUs and CPUs for "the most demanding VG 2014".

I made this proposal for every component:

CPU:

GeForce GTX 970

Radeon R9 290X

Radeon R9 290

GeForce GTX 770

Video Card:

AMD FX-8350 Eight-Core

AMD FX-6350 Six-Core

Intel Core i3-4150 @ 3.50GHz

AMD Phenom II X4 980

RAM:

8 GB, any specs?

PSU (Pwr Supply Unit)

dunno?

Could theese below be re-Usable?:

CD-ROM

DVDRAM Read 8MB/s, Write 30MB/s

HDD

250 GB, 7200 RPM, 8MB Cache, SATA 3.0Gb... I feel comfortable

Audio card

Realtek audio HD

Monitor

60 Hz 1280x1024

Audio Speakers - could any, be?

Keyboard - could any, be?

Mouse - could any, be?

Windows - Win 8.1

Note: only the GPU+CPU price is 560 USD aprox. And I'm willing to spend more or less 800 USD (or more... maybe 900?)

How do you think it should be? Any considerations like bottlenecks? Would this also be useful to fluid multitasking Office, Photoshop, Videos/music and Web surf (simultaneously sometimes)?

Tnx in adv for all your suggestions and advise!

PS... I'm not a serious gamer, just wanting to have decent fun and not planning to buy a new PC any time soon after this one.
