Hi Forum,

Just wondering if anyone had any advice on which video editing software to purchase?

Price not really an issue.

Thanks! :-)

I'm fond of Sony Vegas Movie studio 6. You you need to say what exactly you're trying to edit. I wouldn't recommend this for HD Video

I've found it more stable than Ulead though some people swear by this. There's also Pinnacle which I have never used. If you go for Adobe make sure you have the right spec machine. I'd advise going to various websites for the above software (and others). Sometimes you can download trial versions. You need to be aware that video is very resource hungry (and time consuming).

Thanks for this.

My machine is pretty good spec so I dont need to worry about that.

The files I need to edit can be in any format but I will need to convert them to AVI at some point.

Thanks the advice.

And for file conversions I use this:

And, if need be, to reduce a video file size, I use this:
