TV Sound problems

  simon_lambert 12:33 04 Mar 07

We have just bought a new TV with integrated digital, and every now and then the sounds falters for a couple of seconds. Anyone know why this is? Thanks

(ps we have a good signal and aerial) :)

does the picture pixelate at all or is it just the sound

Yeah it does most of the time.

Is it normally whilst watching ITV and related channels?

If the signal is good and so not the cause of the problem, it could be impulse interference.

A passing vehicle or switching a light on or the fridge starting up can cause it.

It's minimsed by using an aerial with a balun and good quality coax with a good outer screen.

mobile phone near the tv could cause it

Dont think it is a mobile phone or fridge! Will try a replacement coax cable for it though, thanks.
