Transferring audio Tapes to CD

I have a mini system with a front socket for head/ear phones and a laptop with 2 plug sockets at the front - one for mic in and one for ear phones. It doesn't have a soundcard.

Can I buy any leads from maplins that will enable me to record my tapes onto cdr? I'm thinking of using audacity from the laptop to capture the sound from the mini system.

You need a double ended cord [a 3mm jack each end]
connect from auio phone to lappie audio in or mic.
The lappies has on board audio to checck control panel or go to Start/programs /accessories/entertainment.
take it away from there
