had a tomtom 700 for a while now, recently the sucker unit drops of the windscreen while driving.

anyone with any tips on correcting this please, at first thought it might be the cold window or the heater but it never did this last winter.

I think that this is a known issue for older TomTom's. Give them a call and it should be replaced free of charge for you.

The TomTom 700 came out in June 2005, and had a 2 year warranty. Did you buy it prior to Feb: 2006?.

The newer models now have only a 1 year warranty.

i bought it late 2005 to travel to germany, it was first class. but now no longer sticks for very long to the window, tomtom said it was no longer guaranteed and would be cheaper to replace rather than have then repair it.

Just as a query, now this is resolved.

It used to be an offence to have anything other than a tax disc stuck to the windscreen.

Is this still the case, and just ignored, or has the law been changed?
