setting up freeview to a tv with no scart socket

I have a sharp tv but its the foreign version and has no scart socket,i was told i can set my freeview via hdmi lead but my set top box does not have a hdmi socket its a basic alba single scart set top box,is there any way i can resolve this and set it up,any advice is appreciated.

You will need to set it up using the RF output. Connect antenna to STB and antenna from STB to TV. Tune in the STB, usually around channel 35. Unfortunately quality will not be quite as good. Does your TV have the red.yellow and white input sockets. If so there is an adaptor which will allow a scart output to be converted to Phono plug inputs.

There are SCART to HDMI converters on ebay for around 40 quid.

Would not think they are worth £40 as they are not able to upgrade the quality to HD anyway.
