I am totally fed up with my current Video Editing package. It keeps freezing and carshing so I wonder if anyone has a sugestion to replace it. I have read good reports of Adobe Premier Elements 3 and Sony Vegus Movie Studio+DVD.

is what I use and I've never had any problems. Never used the Sony. I used to have trouble with Ulead Video Studio 10 crashing constantly. Check system requirements carefully before buying though.

One of the best ways to choose a suite like this is to look at the forum pertaining to the prog. This will give you some idea as to the level of support from other users and how problematic it may be. Here's Sony's:click here

I think that I will because what I'm using is so slow that its driving me crazy. However, what I am attempting to do in posting this thread is to gain a general consensus on what is a reasonable application for what I want to do.

I know that video processing needs a reasonably powerful computer if its not to be very slow.

What is the spec: of yours?.

If you're editing mpeg then it'll be a lot slower than avi/dv.
