a Frantic E-mail[I you can imagine such a thing] from a colleague- His brother has accidentally deleted the 'shots' from his cam corder Can I get them back?

This device is from what I can discover- one of the new fangled 'solid state' 'corders
so I said bring it over I'll see what can be done.
Do do have the usual collection of recovery programs PC Inspector Bad Copy Pro
So I am waiting for the camera to arrive

Has any one had any experience with this type of situation.

Would any of the above programs work with this device?

I think you would have to connect it to your computer and hope it was recognised as a new device, then se if any of your software tools could recover the deleted files. It may depend how the files were deleted ie. just deleted and not written over or actually Formatted

Having got the camera I set about trying to do my worst/
It is a DigiLite PMPDV
Records movies to MPEG4
I have been doing some search around for suitable MPEG4 recovery tools and have had a look at some
Any recommendations anyone?

Thanx Anchor
I have been fooling around with some of these proggies and of course some say 'OK I've got it? -You want it send us some money.
So I am putting it on on disk and diving it back to the guy and he can download and pay for what he thinks will do the job.
