problem with scanner connectivity

I use a (few years old) Canon FB630P scanner with a BJC2000 printer, which worked perfectly with old Compaq laptop but now with new Fujitsu laptop I find that it will only do one operation to scan/copy/print, and gives a message that the necessary port is occupied when I come to do a second item. how do I find out what's going on ?

for an updated driver for your scanner?

yes I've done the driver update, but still not working; can't I review and modify the ports or something.....?

Try doing a Google search click here with the exact error message or parts of it. G
