Music files

I have a SINGLE MP3 music file containing many songs. All the songs are in one track.

I would like to extract each song from this file as a separate file. Songs are separated by 'silence of a few seconds ' after each song.

Is there a software to do this please?

If you can play the tracks into Audacity software that should work. Google audacity and check 2nd item

peter99c0 - thanks but I should have mentioned that the file was actually created by Audacity.
Is there a software which would do this automatically rather than recording in Auadcity which requires intervention after each song? OR can Audacity do that?

I use Magix Software but this will not work on Vista. (at least not my version)

Decompressing , editing and recompressing will lower the quality. Cut the actual MP3 file with this; click here

I have used Audacity to achiev this.

Thanks all for the help.
