Loss of Photographs

Just spent holiday in the North East and on the last day looked at photos. Now at home can't find them. Just one that says corrupt and unreadable in DCIM\100KMO20\pic.jpg.
Compact Memory Card 1024MB
Info tells me 740mb used - free 237mb
Capacity 977mb.
There are 22 emtpy foldres and 32 files which can't be opened with extensions such as BPG -BXG- JXO etc.

In the camara the card tells me there are 38 left. Usually holds well over 200.
Has anyone any suggestions please.

There appears to be a card corruption- possibly one shot and it is blocking others.
Go to click here and download PCINSPECTOR.
install the programs then connect up the card in camera or in card reader[the latter is best] and operate the program it will read the card- recover what is there and direct them to a folder you have previously prepared.

Brilliant Jack, I have recovered 259 photographs @864 mb. Jack you are a star.
The next question is are the photos still on the disk and if they are how do I now delete them?
There is now 4mb extra free space.

if u've rescued ur fotos to ur pc, can't u just format the card in ur camera?

In Camera you can delete all or singly or as Marko says simply format- but only in the camera.
Check out the menu options of your camera
The other way is to simply delete off the card whilst still connected to comuter.
But do not whatever you do Format in the computer.
