Hi

Tried linking up a laptop to a plasma via vga cable. Worked out ok picture-wise but sound still came out of laptop speakers not tv speakers.

I know I'm missing using a cable or something to carry the sound as well, just not sure which.

Please advise.

Thanks

you need a 3.5mm jack socket connected to the headphone jack. This should be connected to the audio input socket that's associated with the VGA input on the TV

Cheers

Will try it. If the laptop had hdmi out, would that carry both picture and sound to the plasma? the plasma has hdmi in as well as vga.

I believe computers with HDMA that have sound are quite rare
