Is there some software that can convert video file from 16.9 to 4.3 as I prefer full screen rather to widescreen can anyone help?
Cheers.

Your TV will normally do that for you - obviously you will miss out on part of the picture (the sides!).

tommo,

If you use software rendering it will compress the screen horizontally, so people will look very tall and slim. When TV shows widescreen films, it just cuts the sides off.

Felix

If the video file you have is on DVD try using DVDx it is free and can do what you want but as said before it will look a bit odd. Alternatively you can cut the sides out like on TV.

Normally if you just burn it to DVD as 16:9 the DVD player will just show it as widescreen on your TV anyway with the black bars at the top and bottom. On some DVD players there is the option to stretch the picture to 4:3, which will cut the sides off.
