Help Recording Game Consoles onto PC Please

Hello one and all,

I was wondering if there is a way in which I can record footage from my PS3 (Playstation 3) onto my PC, whether it be direct to PC or indirect through a device and then to a PC.

I am aware of the Dazzle capture card range but this does not fulfil my needs as the use of AV cables is needed and so HD is not an option.

Is there any way in which I can use the Playstation in HD on my TV yet record it in any definition (SD or HD) on my PC? I have tried using standard definition on my monitor but it looks sickening.

I have looked at DVD and HDD recorders but have yet to find one which will record at 60Hz which is necessary as PS3 games run at 60Hz.

My PC and PS3 are connected to the same monitor, could this create an easy option?

Thanks for any help; I am sure there will be some method out there!

P.S. If the only viable solution is a very expensive one I will gladly try and make a device myself if anybody is interested, there is much demand on gaming websites
