Freecom Digi TV stick

I have a Freecom DVB-T USB STICK digital tuner.
It has been working fine- until I hit a snag with the BroadBand Connection recently
I had upgraded the connection and after that one or two thing did not go too well elsewhere.

Back to the Freecom thingy
On boot up - Windoze reported 'NewHardware' and asked for the Freecom disk.
Ignoring this - prot-em I attempted to fire up the Digi Icon and it reported Device failure.
Then'Found New hardware' came up, so I loaded the disk and went through the routine.
However on trying to start the device - I got 'Device failure.'
Freecom Tech Advice suggestred the normal routine of checking devices to ensure no yellow error signs
To remove driver/Programe/restart/ reinstall- the normal stuff
However when doing all that- there is in fact no sign the software has been loaded at all.
When re run- reststart etc., this still no sign of software- although all the indicators show software loaded OK.
.So what do you all think?

Go back via System Restore to before you first installed it.

Once complete, reinstall.

The registry seems corrupted at that poin.

Thanks for that Kinger- but that ones a no no istalled too lo ng ago and other stuff has happened inbetween since first installation.
As I now have got the software to install and present itself
and on starting to scan for stations get the 'Device failure message, I have gone back to Freecom- perchace the gadget has died.
