Hi - Have a new dig camcorder (sony) which is great but fails to play the recorded sound thereon in either windows media player nor, eg, my ulead software dvd creator. I realise that this is licensing laws (if one has SE version which I have for ulead at moment) and codecs needed. Does anyone know please how one can get yhis to work with windows xp - it's windows meadi payer 11 (fuly updted). Have looked at Sony site and Windows codec downloads but cannot find what I need. I don't want to but new stuff but if I have to I want to know what will really do the job. Thanks (n.b. My Media CENTER won't play anything (ANY video - neither visual nor the recorded sound) - it has the thumbnails but the screen goes black and immediately states 'finished' and sometimes 'cannot play the video file). Happy New Year to anyone who reads this.
