digital camera £200 or less

  al7478 16:13 20 Feb 07

I'm thinking of getting a camera soon and do'nt want to go above a couple hundred pounds, but I do want the best i can find for that money. Truth be told it may see very little use, just shots of family and friends. I'm hardly a pro!

Any reccommendations?

If a dinky little pocket cam is not your first choice, you will find this hard to beat for quality and value for money. click here Read the reviews, fantastic picture quality in all environments and the features to be creative. I have had one since last summer, best consistent results I have ever had.

There is so much out there it would be impossible to say - go for a particular model.
However if like me you feel that last weeks model at a good price would serve just as well then take a look at click here
This firm specializes in discontinued and residual lines from all the top brands and very often offer recent models at something like half to two thirds original price

A great digital camera for £140 has to be the Fuji Finepix F30... it can take photos anywhere, even in veyr low light, has so many features it'll make your head spin... Takes excellent shots and movies plus the 1gb xd cards are cheap to buy... check out this link: click here

thanks for that but one reviewer seems to think there is a huge issue with battery life. what have you found and how long have you had it?

Looks like a good buy.

My wife is looking for a camera, and the Pentax Optio S7 in Stuartli's link sounds good.

The only thing that concerns me is the small size,
it's 8.6 cms wide X 5.4 high X 2.0 deep.

Did you buy one ?

  al7478 03:24 03 Mar 07

No, I have'nt bought one yet. It's quite a low priority for me at the moment - its time i got an externl HD and backed up better than i do. Can't afford to do both unfortunately.
