Best ipod (or similar) for audio books?

I listen to a lot of audio books and got free ipod shuffle when I signed up with It works fine but I would like to upgrade to a device which would give me more control over my listening - at the least to tell me how much of the book is still to be heard. Don't need much memory as I can delete each book after listening.

My Zen Micro tells you the total playing time of a file and countdowns the time left. Is that what you want?

Creative Zen Micro is brilliant. I listen to audio books all the time and this does the job. Bookmark your place when you're forced to switch off and start off again where you left off when time permits. I switched from an ipod. The Zen is way better.
