Can someone please advise me which file format I should use to save sound files onto CD so that they can be used in a conventional CD player? I am a relative new comer to burning CDs and would appreciate some basic help. I have Musicmatch Jukebox, Windows Media player and Audacity 1.3, and I use Windows XP on a fairly new computer.

To run on a standard player they need to be CDA files all you need to do is create an Audio CD.

In Musicmatch put the files you want in the playlist and click on the Burn button. Remember you will on;ly get 80 minutes of music on a CD.
