Acer Iconia won't download apps to micro SD card

It recognizes my sd card, like I can play all my music files that are on it, and it shows up when I go to the storage page in the settings menu, it even gives me the option to set default write location to my ad card; alas, it won't download anything to the SD card. This is especially annoying because I use Google Play !music and have a subscription to the streaming service, and having only like 4 gb of internal storage, this is a serious issue for me. I don't use data, so I have to save music to listen to it when not connected to WiFi. It won't even give me the option to change default storage location in the Google play music settings menu. Anyone know how to fix? I have an Acer Iconia One 7, and it uses the android 5.0.1. operating system (Lollipop I believe) Thanks in advance!

Just to clarify, I don't use data because I don't have any on my tablet. Not because I choose not to.
