Windows Vistas and Windows 7 life extended

Microsoft have now confirmed that they are to provide extended support for extending support for Vista until 2017 and for W7 to 2020 See this http://www.bit-tech.net/news/bits/2012/02/21/microsoft-doubles-windows-7-vista-support/1

As the article says they may be bringing home user support into line with business support on the OS's but it might indicate some nervousness about the impact of Windows 8 which by some accounts may not be the shining new 'must have' if early comments on the developer version are to be believed. One thing for sure they will not want another VISTA launch on their hands
