Which graphics card?

I intend to upgrade my graphics card now that I have put in a new Asus K8N-EDL mobo with 8x agp and Athlon64 processor with 1.25Gb DDR400 ram. I want to spend about £100 but am unsure of the best card to buy. Can anyone help?

I was looking at the same question. I have an Asus A7V8X-X MB. Decided after research to go for Radeon 9800 Pro 128mb 256 bit. Gets top ratings etc.

Normally £125+ depending upon brand. However.....

I am having problems with conflict with by MB Via chipset. If you do a Google on this and go into different forums you will see that there is an issue. I have gone through all steps and patches but still getting BSOD in games. Have replaced card with old Geforce3 Ti500 and no crashing.

9800 will give go the best for your £££s but watch out?

I have a PC with a VIA chipset, don't know if this was the cause of the problem but a 9800 Pro I bought kept crashing. Returned it and got a Nvidia 5900 and its perfect. If this is the motherboard you have click here then you should be ok as its not a VIA chipset.

If you are looking to spend around £100-£150 the best card by far is the 6600GT which is a much more powerful and future proof card than the 9800Pro with the performance gap even greater with the latest and on-coming games : click here click here

PNY Verto GeForce 6 6600GT AGP8x 128MB GDDR3 £139.98 inc VAT click here

Would be a much more powerful and better buy...
