Where to buy Powerpoint cheaply?

I have XP Office which came with the computer and includes Word, Excel, Outlook and Publisher but not Powerpoint. Is it possible to buy PP as an add-on at a reasonable price? The offer for students/teachers seems to apply to the whole Office suite.

If eligible it would still be far cheaper to purchase the Students Office suite and use Powerpoint from there.

The OpenOffice presentations can be saved as Powerpoint and it's very easy to use, add in that it's free and the only downside is that as part of the complete suite the download is a bit big.

Many thanks for all the input. We are eligble for a student licence - 2 students in the family - I was hoping that I could get PP as an add-on since we have all the the other parts of the suite.

Thank you v much for the OpenOffice info tenplus1 and Belaticadrus. I hadn't heard about it before and the compatibility with MS Office could be very useful.
