Where to buy a barebones system from?

I have someone who wants a decent new PC but, specifically, it must have the speakers in the monitor.

The budget is under £500 all-in.

I was going to go for a barebones, monitor and kb & mouse from PC NextDay, but after reading all the posts on here I'm probably not.

But I can't find anyone that can match a 512MB P Celeron system, with speaker in the monitor - they wanted well under £400.

Anyone got any tips?

You can buy Packard Bell 3.0MHz + Pentium and AMD base units from:

Enough left for a TFT 17 or 19in monitor with speakers.

I must agree with Fingees on this one as I have used a barebones system from Novatech without any problems.

I've not long ago bought a bare bones from Novatech. Excellent product and service, I'm well pleased with it.

I've had a look at buyit247 but wasn't impressed; I just need a standard, internet and excel type system.

Novatech don't end up that cheap once you've added on the graphics card, hard drive etc. I do normally use novatech a lot, but they seem to come out high when buying all the components.

I've got a system from pcnetdaPC Next Day before, but nothing went wrong so I don't know how bad they are. i'm not going to go with them after the review son here, but they can get me an all-in Intel D system for a shade under £400!
