I used to used Kelkoo and Deal Time, but read an article recently and many of these price-search sites will have agreements in place with certain suppliers (nothing illegal, but limiting in terms of usefulness). 'Price Runner' came up as a good alternative as they don't [currently] have such agreements in place and they don't particularly mind upsetting any suppliers by listing their advertised prices in a comparisons list.

My starting point is normally a google search such as:

buy HP Printer UK

and that will give you a wide range of options including kelko, price runner and deal time.
